Do hoses need inspection?

Yes. The standard requires all hoses to be accessible for regular inspection.
Here accessible means a tool may be required to get to it.
If a hose is under a cover or concealed, the vehicle manual must note the location and include an instruction for regular inspection by a competent person (see Clause 2.10.2).
